DAY 3 Follow the Samurai Trail North

  • How can I start planning my trip with Untold Japan?
    We first ask you to submit an Enquiry Form. Our travel experts will review your submission and respond to you within 48 hours to book a free consultation. During the call, we will discuss your interests and travel plans in more detail to create your personalized itinerary.
  • How does the payment process work?
    After the consultation, we ask you to make a deposit of $500 USD per person. This is a non-refundable deposit that serves two purposes: It secures your place in our tours and enables our team of tour experts to begin creating your customized itinerary for your review. Please rest assured this deposit will be deducted from your final costs. After you work one-on-one with your assigned tour expert on finalizing your itinerary, we ask you to make your first payment, which will cover the cost of your hotels during your trip. This payment is due 6 months before your tour begins. As we approach your tour date, we ask you to make your final payment, which will cover the remaining costs of your tour. This payment is due 90 days before your tour begins. After you make the three payments, you can simply relax and arrive in Japan, where you will be taken care of by our team of travel experts throughout your trip!
  • What is included in your tour budget?
    Your budget includes the following services: Customized itinerary Assignment of personal tour expert to discuss, modify, and finalize itinerary Costs including those of hotels, internal transportation, activities, logistics management Tour guide services The budget essentially covers all expenses except the cost of meals and flights to and from Japan. However, many hotels and ryokan (traditional inns) have meals included in their room plans. Moreover, if you let us know of your dietary preferences and or allergies, we carry out research to find suitable, high quality restaurants for your review.
  • What happens if I need to cancel my tour?
    We understand that plans may change, and that you may need to alter or cancel your tour for various reasons. In such cases, please contact us as soon as possible and we will work to accommodate your situation. Please refer to Terms and Conditions for a detailed guide on our cancellation policy.
  • Can I book the Untold Exclusives on their own?
    Our exclusive tour options are only available when added to an Untold Japan tour, and currently cannot be booked on their own.
